We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting education and history of the Vietnam War thru our membership
We normally hold meetings once a month, on the third Wednesday of the month at 10 am at American Legion Post #1, I-25 and Yale Avenue. The next business meeting will be an In-Person meeting at the American Legion Post #1 on Wednesday, September 18 at 10 am.
A Zoom connection will be available in conjunction with the in-person meeting.
We occasionally change venues. we will post updates on this site us at for dates, time and location. The museum committee meets periodically to continue categorizing inventory and developing additional displays
Take a look at past After Action reports of each event to read the details. Volunteer docents at the events usually receive more back than what they put in. Training and lunch are provided. Try it out.
The High Plains Honor Flight is now accepting applications for all Vietnam Veterans as well as WWII, and Korea. Vietnam Veteran applications are being accepted.
The Arlington National Cemetery Crewmembers Memorial placement is now available for viewing. Thanks to all of you who supported this project.

Wings over the Rockies-Cockpit Demo Days are the 2nd Saturday of each month, 10 a.m to 2 p.m. You can visit "SWEET SIOUX', the Huey Gunship of "GunShip Ministries" which was donated by Col Bill McPherson to the WOR Museum. Check with the Museum before you go to be sure it is open.

As part of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, Congressman Ed Perlmutter, of the 7th Congressional District, in partnership with the Commemorative Partner Program as authorized by President Obama thanked over 600 local Vietnam Veterans in ceremonies held over a 5 month period on behalf of a "Grateful Nation"
This first ceremony was held at Red Rocks Community College on March 24, 2017. Congressman Perlmutter's office is arranging for 6 more ceremonies to honor an additional 500 Veterans who answered the request to attend an award ceremony. Among the Veterans that attended the March 24, 2017 ceremony were Bill Bates,
Rick Beaver, Carl Cavaluzzi, Dale House and Bill Robie, all members of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association. The Members received a distinctive commemorative lapel pin and a certificate signed by Governor John E. Hickenlooper, Governor of Colorado.
This program is a national outreach to Honor the estimated 7 million veterans that served during the Vietnam War. Our parent organization, The VHPA, is Partnered with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to help locate and Honor every Vietnam Veteran who served on active duty during the period November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975.
